Minister Bayraktar: Turkey will be a carbon-neutral economy by 2053

Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar announced that Turkey will become a carbon-neutral economy by 2053 during the Italy-Turkey energy partnership event held at the Venice Palace in Istanbul.

Minister Bayraktar stated that relations between Turkey and Italy have strengthened under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, drawing attention to partnership opportunities in the fields of energy and mining. Emphasizing the importance of international cooperation against the global energy crisis, Bayraktar stated that Turkey has placed electrification at the center of its energy strategy.
