Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin Announces Lawsuit Against Meta

Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin stated that social media platforms and content creators are not acting with sufficient sensitivity regarding the pedagogical and academic development of children, and announced that the Ministry will file a lawsuit against Meta.

Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, in his speech at the 12th Erzurum Promotion Days held in Ankara, stated that social media content creators and production companies do not pay enough attention to the pedagogical and academic development of children. Emphasizing that children are negatively affected by encountering content that is not age-appropriate, Minister Tekin announced that the Ministry of National Education will file a lawsuit against Meta. During the program, information was also shared regarding investments in Erzurum, the situation of Erzurumspor, the opening of Turkey's first gastronomy high school in Erzurum, and special education campus projects.
