The Ministry of Family and Social Services announced that a court decision was issued to remove content and block access after social media influencer Ö.Ö. shared footage of her minor child's circumcision.

In a written statement issued by the Ministry of Family and Social Services, it was stated that social media influencer Ö.Ö. shared images and conversations recorded during a young child's circumcision procedure that violated private life and bodily privacy. It was reported that due to these shares, a request was made to remove the content and block access under Law No. 5651, and the relevant court accepted this request.

The statement emphasized that systematically turning children's life processes and special moments into social media content from their very first day of birth poses serious risks regarding the privacy of private life and personal rights. It was stated that parental custody rights do not grant parents unlimited disposal authority over their children's private lives and bodily privacy, and that the best interests of the child must be observed in exercising this right. Furthermore, it was noted that parental consent does not legitimize shares that violate privacy, and protecting children in digital environments is a joint responsibility of all parties.
