Ministry of Health Personnel Recruitment 2026: 38 Thousand Hires and Contracted Staff Decision

Developments regarding the 2026 personnel recruitment to be carried out within the Ministry of Health have begun to clarify. In addition to the 38,000 non-physician personnel recruitment announced by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, a decision regarding the employment of 31,054 contracted health personnel has been published in the Official Gazette.

According to the statement made by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on October 17, 2026, a call for applications for the recruitment of 38,000 non-physician personnel will be issued before the end of 2026. While the application requirements, quotas, and branch distribution for this recruitment have not yet been finalized, the process is expected to be clarified with the application guide to be published by ÖSYM.

On the other hand, the Presidential decision regarding the Ministry of Health's employment of 31,054 contracted health personnel has been published in the Official Gazette. According to the published decision, the distribution of the new positions among service units was determined as 1 in emergency health services, 7 in district health directorates and community health centers, 6 in health houses, and 31,040 in inpatient treatment areas. It was reported that the distribution consists of 5,061 physicians, 25,955 specialist physicians, 25 health officers, 9 midwives, 2 nurses, and one dietician and one health technician each.
