Ministry of Science and Technology Delegation Attends AI Summit in Seoul

A delegation led by Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Tran Trung Tinh participated in the 2026 Global AI and Digital Transformation Summit, held in Seoul, South Korea, from October 18-19, 2026.

The delegation from the Ministry of Science and Technology, led by Deputy Minister Tran Trung Tinh, attended the Global AI and Digital Summit 2026—also known as the Digital and AI Ministerial Meeting (DMM 2026)—held in Seoul, South Korea, from October 18-19, 2026. The delegation also included Dr. Nguyen Trung Kien, Deputy Director of the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT), and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Quoc Dung, Director of the Posts and Telecommunications Research Institute (RIPT). The conference was co-organized by the World Bank Group, the Ministry of Science and ICT of South Korea, and the Ministry of Economy and Finance of South Korea.

This year's conference focused on digital access, affordability, ecosystems, and AI readiness. At the Ministerial Roundtable on AI and Digital Transformation held on October 19, Deputy Minister Tran Trung Tinh delivered a speech titled "AI and Digital Public Services," sharing Vietnam's experiences across three main areas: institutions, strategic orientation, and practical implementation.
