Motorcycle Report in Bursa: Call for Sanctions on Dangerous Driving Posts
According to a report prepared by the Bursa Bizim Platform, motorcycle accidents in the city must be prevented, and legal action should be taken against accounts sharing dangerous driving videos on social media.
The Bursa Bizim Platform prepared a comprehensive report to draw attention to the increasing motorcycle accidents and traffic safety issues in the city, making a call to the authorities.
The report, announced to the public with the signature of Ferit Gürsoy, Founding President of the Bursa Bizim Platform, addressed motorcycle accidents and traffic safety problems in the city. The statement demanded that unplated motorcycles be banned from traffic, driver training be improved, and motorcyclist-friendly barriers be installed on dangerous curves.
The report claimed that some drivers shared dangerous footage—such as excessive speeding and riding on one wheel—on social media to generate advertising revenue, using these earnings to pay off traffic fines. While a call was made to the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK) and security units to close down these accounts, it was also requested that a workshop be organized under the leadership of the Bursa Governorship and the Metropolitan Municipality.
