Muğlaspor's goalscorer İsa Güler unilaterally terminates his contract

27-year-old center-forward İsa Güler, who plays for 1st League team Muğlaspor, announced that he left the club by unilaterally terminating his contract due to a transfer fee dispute and unpaid bonuses.

Stating that he was transferred from Söke 1970 during the mid-season last year and lifted the trophy in the 2nd League with the green-and-white team, İsa Güler noted that although he signed a 1.5-year contract, they had made a verbal agreement that he would become a free agent after playing for half a season. The player stated that at the end of the season, a high transfer fee equivalent to 1 year of earnings was demanded for him to leave, that championship bonuses were not paid, and that he could not reach an agreement with interested clubs due to the demanded fee.

Conveying that no discount was made throughout the transfer window and his request to leave on loan was not accepted, İsa Güler noted that when the period ended, his salary for the new season was not finalized and he was not included in the team. Stating that he was informed he was excluded from the squad citing a report from the coaching staff and was not allowed to stay at the facility, the footballer declared that he will pursue his labor and rights.
