Muhlenberg College achieved the highest ranking in its history by placing 62nd among national liberal arts colleges in the U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges 2027 rankings, marking a significant jump compared to last year.

Historic Success and Overall Ranking

Muhlenberg College climbed to 62nd place out of 203 National Liberal Arts Colleges in the 2027 rankings.

This record position surpasses the school's previous highest ranking of 64th in 2015, while representing an eight-spot increase from last year's 70th place.

Social Mobility and Category Improvements

Advancing 15 spots in the Best Value Schools or Top Performers on Social Mobility category, the institution placed 66th nationally.

Meanwhile, Undergraduate Psychology Programs climbed to 276th nationally out of 676 programs.

Financial Resources and Investments

A nine-spot improvement was recorded in financial resources compared to last year.

This situation clearly demonstrated the increase in per-capita investments made in academic programs and student services.

While the school's first-year retention rate remained at the 90 percent level, the six-year graduation rate rose to 83 percent.
