Music and Mythology Together: Pan Flute Event Held

The event titled 'Magical Sound, Mythology, and Recital of the Pan Flute', jointly organized by the International Culture, Art, Migration and Harmony Association (US-DER) and the Association for Supporting Contemporary Living (ÇYDD), was held at the Prof. Dr. Türkan Saylan Contemporary Event Center.

The International Culture, Art, Migration and Harmony Association (US-DER) and the Association for Supporting Contemporary Living (ÇYDD) signed a joint event aiming to strengthen social ties and draw attention to cultural heritage. The program titled 'Magical Sound, Mythology, and Recital of the Pan Flute', held at the Prof. Dr. Türkan Saylan Contemporary Event Center, received intense interest from art lovers. In the organization hosted by US-DER Vice President Yeşim Ertan, the melodies of the pan flute were blended with mythological narratives.

The music recital section of the program was performed by Namık Ertan, a professional musician and chemical engineer who produces his own instruments. Sharing his experiences regarding the production, education, and performance of the pan flute in Turkey with the audience, Ertan conveyed his memories during the promotion process of the instrument. In the mythology section of the event, ecologist, guide, and US-DER President Prof. Dr. Tuncay Neyişçi took the stage and explained the mythological birth of the pan flute and its connection with the cultural heritage of the region.

The partnership of two non-governmental organizations operating in different fields demonstrated the unifying power of art. At the end of the program, ÇYDD Vice President Ayşe Neyişçi presented a certificate of appreciation to musician Namık Ertan. Upon the participants' requests for the continuation of similar gatherings, it was stated that the two associations will continue their joint projects in the field of culture and art.
