Musician Gigi and Painter Pırıl Torgut Attended the TÜRKSOY Youth Meeting in Trabzon

Representing the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, musician Gigi and painter Pırıl Torgut attended the 3rd International Organization of Turkic Culture (TÜRKSOY) Youth Meeting held in Trabzon. 150 young people from 21 different countries and regions of the Turkic world participated in the organization, which was held under the coordination of the Department of Culture of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment of the Deputy Prime Ministry.

The opening ceremony at the Hamamizade İhsan Bey Culture and Art Center was attended by TRNC Consul General in Trabzon Fatma Demirel, Trabzon Governor Tahir Şahin, Kyrgyzstan's Ambassador to Ankara Ruslan Kazakbaev, Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Metin Genç, Trabzon University Rector Prof. Dr. Emin Aşıkkutlu, and TÜRKSOY Deputy Secretary General Sayit Yusuf. Within the scope of the meeting, cultural sessions were held, and visits were made to the Sumela Monastery, Hagia Sophia Mosque, and Atatürk Pavilion.

Musician Gigi performed the songs "Kıbrısım" and "Feslikan" at the gala dinner held during the event, and sang "Mağusa Limanı" at the closing dinner. The delegation also visited the TRNC Consulate General in Trabzon.
