Mustafa Varank's Evaluation of Filyos Port
TBMM Commission Chairman Mustafa Varank shared the 7-year transformation of Filyos Port and the importance of the Osman Gazi platform.
Mustafa Varank, Chairman of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) Commission on Industry, Trade, Energy, Natural Resources, Information and Technology, and AK Party Bursa Deputy, evaluated the 7-year transformation process of Filyos Port and the departure of the Osman Gazi Floating Production Platform to its duty station.
Mustafa Varank, Chairman of the TBMM Commission on Industry, Trade, Energy, Natural Resources, Information and Technology, recounted the process undergone by the Filyos Special Industrial Zone, which was planned as a flat land with no activity in 2019. Stating that they continued with the investment despite the opposition's objections, Varank expressed that this project is one of the largest investments seen by the Anatolian geography since the Ottoman Empire, surpassing even the history of the Republic.
Sharing a video on his social media account with the message "The work belongs to the one who knows it, the sword to the one who wields it," Varank recalled that during his visit on July 18, 2019, he stated Filyos Port would be a gateway opening to the Black Sea and the world. He emphasized that the Osman Gazi Floating Production Platform, which was sent off from Filyos Port on Saturday to its duty station in the Sakarya Gas Field, will double production in the region within a few months.
