National conference on commercialization of scientific research results in Vietnam
Vietnam is holding a high-level national conference on October 23, 2026, aimed at accelerating the transfer of scientific outputs from universities and research institutes to industry.
A national conference is being held in Vietnam on October 23, 2026, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung, with the aim of commercializing scientific research results and strengthening university-industry collaboration.
Organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology in coordination with the Government Office, the conference aims to strengthen connections between research institutes, universities, and the business sector. Taking place in a hybrid format, the meeting's main agenda items include removing barriers to technology transfer and turning research results into economic value.
Five main thematic groups will be addressed at the conference, including business participation in research processes, joint investment mechanisms, intellectual property rights, and successful cooperation models. At the event, where Minister of Science and Technology Vu Hai Quan will co-chair a question-and-answer session, the success of cooperation will be evaluated not by the number of signed agreements, but by the real value that the transferred technology brings to the economy.
