Gathering at the Assumption Catholic Church in Myanmar's Twantay region, approximately 1,650 children celebrated the 100th anniversary of World Mission Sunday with a special mass attended by Cardinal Charles Maung Bo.
In Myanmar, approximately 1,650 children came together for an event organized on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of World Mission Sunday, observed by the universal Church on October 18. Presided over by Cardinal Charles Maung Bo, Archbishop of Yangon and leader of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Myanmar, the mass was organized by the Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS) of the Archdiocese of Yangon.
During the event held at the Assumption Catholic Church in the Twantay region, Cardinal Bo emphasized in his address to the children that, despite their young age, they can become missionaries by sharing the love of Jesus. The Cardinal encouraged the children to be 'little lights of Christ' at school, at home, and in their social circles by helping their friends, sharing food, and showing kindness.
