New Era of SGK-Covered Services at ROMATEM Physical Therapy Center

Oscar Group and ROMATEM Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Health Group announced a new era where Turkish citizens and dual nationals living in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and covered by the Social Security Institution (SGK) can benefit from physical therapy and rehabilitation services. During a press conference held at the facility in Yeniboğaziçi, it was explained how patients can benefit from this opportunity.

The facility, implemented through the partnership of Oscar Group and ROMATEM Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Health Group, aims to eliminate the necessity for citizens living in the TRNC to go abroad for physical therapy. UBP Secretary General Ahmet Savaşan recalled that a hotel was converted into a hospital with a protocol signed approximately two years ago in the presence of the Ministry of Health. With the new regulation, the way has been paved for receiving services under SGK at the facility.

ROMATEM Group Director Dr. Köksal Holoğlu stated that the center is equipped with world-class equipment and applies robotic technologies and artificial intelligence-supported treatments. Noting that patients are brought to the island from countries within a four-hour flight distance, primarily the United Kingdom, Holoğlu stated that health expenditures for Turkish and TRNC citizens will be financed under the guarantee of SGK.
