An incident shared on social media has revealed a new fraud attempt targeting sellers in the second-hand vehicle market, conducted using a "fake notary" identity.

Fraudsters contact vehicle listers and accept the car's price without bargaining. The next day, they try to gain the seller's trust by claiming they cannot come to the notary because they cannot get permission from work, but state that they will deposit a deposit through the "secure payment" system to initiate the procedures.

Shortly after the initial conversation, another number calls the seller, introducing themselves as a "notary". This person asks the seller to enter their banking application, deposit money into a specific IBAN, and write a code in the description section. The seller is guided by claiming that the money will not leave the account, but will only be secured.

In this method, which was exposed when a vehicle owner who suspected the situation rejected the request, it is observed that fraudsters use a convincing language to force sellers to make transactions through the bank. It is emphasized that one must be cautious against such unusual requests to avoid grievances.
