New Homes Ready for Delivery to Right Holders Following Collapsed Apartment Building in Maltepe
Following the collapse of the Kardeşler Apartment in Istanbul's Maltepe Cevizli neighborhood, housing units in the Esenkent İETT Blocks are starting to be delivered to the right holders within 20 days.
New residences prepared for the right holders affected by the collapse of the Kardeşler Apartment and its surroundings in Istanbul's Maltepe Cevizli neighborhood on October 8 are being delivered as of October 28.
Following the collapse of the Kardeşler Apartment on October 8 in Istanbul's Maltepe, which resulted in 5 fatalities, new residences have been made ready in the Esenkent Neighborhood İETT Blocks for the disaster victims and rightful owners in the region.
As a result of negotiations conducted by the Directorate of Urban Transformation, two different options were offered to the rightful owners. Citizens who wish to do so will be able to receive the keys to the ready apartments in the Esenkent Neighborhood İETT Blocks as of October 28, while those who prefer can have their homes rebuilt on-site under the coordination of the Directorate of Urban Transformation and TOKİ.
Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum stated in a post on his social media account that favorable payment terms spread over many years will be provided to citizens in both options.
