Economist Nouriel Roubini evaluated the resilience shown by the global economy despite the geopolitical and economic challenges it has faced over the past two years. Despite US tariffs in 2025 and energy shocks originating from Iran, global growth materialized at 3.5 percent in 2025.

Roubini attributes this resilience of the global economy to four main factors: market discipline limiting extreme policies, supply chains adapting to new conditions, implemented fiscal and monetary expansion policies, and the supply shock effect created by artificial intelligence investments.

In projections for 2027, global growth is forecasted to reach 3.4 percent and inflation is expected to enter a downward trend. However, the expert points out that geopolitical tensions, fluctuations in energy prices, populist economic policies, and bubble risks in the field of artificial intelligence may continue to suppress this optimistic scenario.
