"Only Classical" Turkish Islamic Arts Exhibition opened at Tantavi Culture Center

Organized by the Konya Classical Arts Center (KKSM), the "Only Classical" Turkish Islamic Arts Exhibition opened its doors with a ceremony held at the Tantavi Culture and Art Center. Featuring works produced in adherence to classical methods and aesthetic rules, the exhibition can be visited until October 25.

The opening ceremony was attended by Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca, Konya Metropolitan Municipality Head of Culture, Art and Social Affairs Department Ahmet Çalışır, Calligrapher Dr. Hüseyin Öksüz, ney player M. Sadreddin Özçimi, Turkey Writers Union Konya Branch President Ahmet Köseoğlu, former Konya Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism Abdüssettar Yarar, and AK Party Konya Provincial Deputy Chairman Şerife Didem Yurdal. Following the prayer recited by Abdurrahman Büyükkörükçü, the exhibition was officially opened to visitors.

In his opening speech, Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca emphasized the importance of preserving cultural heritage and congratulated the artists who carry the elegance of traditional arts to the present day. Bringing together examples from rare fields of Islamic arts under a single roof, the exhibition offers visitors the opportunity to closely examine the subtleties of traditional aesthetics.
