"Opera on Screens" to Feature Robinson Crusoé Screening in Diyarbakır
As part of the "Opera on Screens" event bringing together 17 cities from 13 countries, the Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality will broadcast Jacques Offenbach’s opera Robinson Crusoé free of charge.
The Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality is preparing to host a free screen screening of Jacques Offenbach’s opera "Robinson Crusoé" as part of the international "Opera on Screens" event. Staged by the Opéra de Rennes, the work will meet art lovers on Friday, November 6 at 20:30 at the Çand Amed Culture and Congress Center.
Launched under the European Dialogues organized by Les Champs Libres by Rennes Métropole, the initiative aims to bring together municipalities affiliated with the Rennes Metropolis around the same work of art with their sister and partner cities. The event's 2026 program includes 17 partner cities from 13 countries: Germany, China, the United States, France, Ireland, Japan, Palestine, Poland, Romania, the United Kingdom, Turkey, Ukraine, and Vietnam.
Due to time differences between countries, screenings may take place on different dates and times, but all screenings form part of the same international cultural gathering. The free event open to everyone at the Çand Amed Culture and Congress Center will bring together opera enthusiasts as well as audiences wishing to experience this art form for the first time.
