Following its stops in New York and St. Petersburg, the Treasures of the Bride exhibition opened its doors at the Manarat Al Saadiyat Art Center in Abu Dhabi.
The exhibition "Treasures of the Bride: A Journey Through Ottoman and Anatolian Dowries," focusing on the dowry tradition stretching from the Ottoman Empire to Anatolia, has met with visitors in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, marking its third international stop after New York and St. Petersburg.
The opening of the exhibition, prepared from the collections of the Ministry of National Education's Public Education Institutes under the auspices of Emine Erdoğan, took place at the Manarat Al Saadiyat Art Center. Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Noura Al Kaabi, TİKA President Abdullah Eren, Turkey's Ambassador to Abu Dhabi Lütfullah Göktaş, and General Director of Lifelong Learning Emre Topoğlu also attended the ceremony.
A total of 236 artifacts across 9 different categories—including bundles, bridal attire, items related to coffee and hammam cultures, faith-related pieces, palace and Anatolian textiles, and wooden works—are on display. Works prepared using traditional techniques such as Turkish work, Maraş work, and needle lace can be visited until October 27.
