Realized by the Zeytinburnu Municipality at Zeytinburnu Culture and Arts, the "The World of a Thinking Writer" Peyami Safa Symposium opens its doors to address the author's literary heritage and intellectual world. Being the 20th symposium at the Zeytinburnu Culture and Arts center, the event will last for two days and consist of six sessions. For those unable to follow the program on-site, the sessions will be broadcast live on YouTube.

The event, organized by the Zeytinburnu Municipality with the aim of contributing to cultural and intellectual life, honors Peyami Safa, one of the prominent figures of Turkish literature. Carrying the distinction of being the 20th symposium at Zeytinburnu Culture and Arts, the organization deeply examines the author's novel writing, philosophical approach, political thoughts, and understanding of culture and art. Experts, academicians, and researchers in the field come together to evaluate the author's works from different perspectives.

Starting with the opening program on Friday, October 23, at 15:00, the first day of the events discusses Peyami Safa's novel writing, his literary approach centered around 'Bir Tereddüdün Romanı' (The Novel of a Hesitation), his conception of human beings, conservatism, love, and the representation of women. In the sessions continuing on Saturday, October 24, at 10:30, the political and social atmosphere of the period the author lived in and the works he wrote under the pseudonym Server Bedi are addressed. The symposium concludes with the closing speech titled 'Reading Peyami Safa Incompletely' to be given by Prof. Dr. Seval Şahin.
