Peyami Safa Symposium Begins at Zeytinburnu Culture and Arts

The Peyami Safa Symposium, titled "The World of a Thinking Writer" to be held at Zeytinburnu Culture and Arts, brings together academics and literature researchers. Consisting of six sessions, the event discusses the author's novelist identity, philosophical approach, political thoughts, and understanding of culture and art.

The symposium, to be held at Zeytinburnu Culture and Arts, will begin with the opening program. In the first session of the day, Peyami Safa's novelist identity and literary approach through his work "Bir Tereddüdün Romanı" (Novel of a Hesitation) will be discussed. In the sessions starting on the second day within the scope of the program, the author's relationship with the political and social atmosphere of his era, his approach on the axis of literature-society-politics, his works written under the pen name Server Bedi, and his understanding of culture and art will be examined. The symposium will conclude with the closing speech by Prof. Dr. Seval Şahin titled "Reading Peyami Safa Incompletely."
