Peyami Safa will be commemorated with a symposium by Zeytinburnu Municipality

Peyami Safa, one of the leading figures in Turkish literature and intellectual world, is being commemorated with a two-day symposium organized by Zeytinburnu Municipality. Titled "The World of a Thinking Writer", the event will bring together academics and literary researchers on October 23-24.

In the event, which marks the 20th symposium held at Zeytinburnu Culture and Arts, many topics ranging from Peyami Safa's novel-writing to his philosophical approach, and from his political thoughts to his understanding of culture and art will be covered. Lasting for two days, the organization will feature six sessions, with experts in their fields evaluating the author's literary heritage from different perspectives.

Following the opening program on Friday, October 23 at 15:00, the first session of the day will discuss Peyami Safa's novel-writing and his literary approach through his work "Bir Tereddüdün Romanı" (A Novel of Hesitation).
