Photo in Trump's White House Restoration Post Raises AI Suspicions
It has been determined that one of the White House restoration photos shared by former US President Donald Trump on Truth Social was edited using artificial intelligence.
President Donald Trump shared a series of photos on his Truth Social account showing renovation work at the White House; however, it turned out that one of the shared images was altered using artificial intelligence tools.
Post Shared via Truth Social
Donald Trump published photos on the Truth Social platform showcasing renovation work carried out at the White House. Among these frames, an image comparing an old column with its 'restored' version quickly caught the attention of social media users.
Determined to Have Been Edited by Artificial Intelligence
Inconsistencies noticed by users and the results of a scan conducted by Google's SynthID detector confirmed that the image was generated or edited with artificial intelligence. It was observed that the number of steps on either side of the column in the image did not match each other and did not correspond to the historical photograph either.
Striking Inconsistencies in the Image
The fact that the angles and details of the before-and-after photos were almost completely identical, the reflections in the windows overlapped perfectly, and the cardboard at the base of the column was in the exact same position raised suspicions. Additionally, it was determined that the new column, claimed to have been painted, looked artificially smooth.
