Poland Calls for Deepening Space Cooperation with Germany
Polish Finance Minister Andrzej Domanski announced that they aim to deepen cooperation with Germany in the space sector to enhance security and technological sovereignty against external pressures.
Polish Finance Minister Andrzej Domanski stated on Monday that they see broad scope for expanding cooperation with Germany in the space sector to strengthen security and technological sovereignty against external pressures and global trade competition.
Polish Finance Minister Andrzej Domanski, speaking at a joint panel attended by Germany's Economy Minister Katherina Reiche, stated that investments should be made in technologies that do not currently exist in Europe but are of critical importance for joint security. Domanski emphasized that by working together with Germany against the global trade competition of China and the US, they can be more resilient against external pressures.
Arguing that security starts from space and that countries without satellites become "blind" and unable to defend themselves, Domanski announced that Poland has decided to double its investments in the space sector. Domanski noted that every euro invested in space returns 6 to 7 euros, and that this spending is of great importance not only for economic efficiency but also for security and resilience.
