The reconstruction efforts initiated in Turkey following the earthquakes of February 6, 2023 were extensively covered by leading US media outlets USA TODAY and Business Insider.

Within the scope of the reconstruction efforts carried out under the coordination of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, 455,357 independent units completed in two years, as well as work done on infrastructure, schools, commercial areas, and historical centers, were featured in USA TODAY and Business Insider. USA TODAY's report stated that the foundations of the first permanent residences were laid 15 days after the earthquakes, and the first village houses were delivered on the 45th day. It was noted that during the peak period of the program, approximately 200,000 architects, engineers, and construction workers served at 3,481 construction sites in 174 areas, with production speeds reaching 23 houses per hour and 550 houses per day.

The reports mentioned the simultaneous construction processes carried out in Malatya İkizce, Adıyaman İndere, Hatay Dikmece, and Kahramanmaraş Altınova. It was emphasized that Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum designed the construction program not merely as a housing project, but with the vision of reviving cities, making them resilient to disasters, and revitalizing economic and social life.
