Hellenic Basketball Federation President Vangelis Liolios was detained on match-fixing and bribery charges as a result of a three-month investigation conducted by Athens Prosecutor Apostolis Grammenos. It was reported that findings regarding match-fixing and illegal betting in first-division matches were reached during the investigation, and a detention order was requested for Liolios due to the risk of flight.
