Production of Strategic Medical Devices Has Begun in Turkey
It was announced at the 3rd International İkiztepe Health Summit held in Samsun that final stages have been reached in domestic vaccine production and medical device projects are ongoing.
Speaking at the 3rd International İkiztepe Health Summit and North Anatolia Health and Medical Fair held at the Samsun Fair and Congress Center, Deputy Minister of Health Prof. Dr. Nurullah Okumuş announced that the final stage has been reached in domestic vaccine production and that strategic medical devices are being produced with domestic resources.

The 3rd International İkiztepe Health Summit and North Anatolia Health and Medical Fair opened at the Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Fair and Congress Center.
Domestic Vaccine and Medical Device Efforts
Deputy Minister of Health Prof. Dr. Nurullah Okumuş stated that the final point has been reached in domestic vaccine production and that mobile X-ray devices are being manufactured in cooperation with ASELSAN.
Health Market and Manufacturer Call
Stating that products needed by hospitals will be procured primarily from domestic manufacturers, Okumuş urged manufacturers to register their products in the Health Market.
Samsun's Historical Health Background
Samsun Governor Orhan Tavlı recalled that human skeletons that underwent brain surgery 3,500 years ago were discovered during the Bafra İkiztepe excavations.
