In the Bozüyük district of Bilecik, members of the All Retirees Union held a march from Şeyh Şamil Park to Cumhuriyet Square to draw attention to economic hardships.
Making a statement, Nuran Kamalı Şahin, the MYK Women's Secretary of the union, stated that the country was experiencing a profound economic and social crisis, emphasizing that retirees are struggling with poverty. Şahin argued that economic resources were being transferred to capital and demanded a humanely livable pension for retirees, free healthcare services, and the guarantee of trade union rights. She also voiced reactions against pressures on press freedom.
Participating in the action, YENİ Party Eskişehir Deputy İbrahim Arslan criticized the government's economic policies. Stating that 3 trillion 975 billion liras were allocated to interest in the 2027 budget, Arslan claimed that the cost of what he described as a 'fund embezzlement' reached 120 billion dollars.
