Public Hospitals and Health Tourism Intermediary Institutions Came Together in Ankara

At the International Health Tourism Promotion Program organized by the Ankara Provincial Health Directorate, increasing the share of public hospitals in international health tourism and strengthening coordination with intermediary institutions were discussed.

Attended by USHAŞ General Manager Serdar Şenol, Ankara Provincial Health Director Ali Niyazi Kurtcebe, public hospital managers, and representatives of authorized intermediary institutions, the program aimed to give health tourism processes a more organized structure. During the event, presentations were made by Bilkent City Hospital, Etlik City Hospital, Etimesgut Şehit Sait Ertürk State Hospital, and Ankara Ottoman Oral and Dental Health Hospital.

Ankara Provincial Health Director Ali Niyazi Kurtcebe stated that there are 382 authorized health facilities across the city and that over 40 million examinations are performed annually in public hospitals. In light of these data, it is aimed to increase cooperation among industry stakeholders in order to use the existing capacity more effectively in the international arena.
