Quang Ninh Renews Economic Development and Growth Model in 2026

In its development process in 2026, Quang Ninh province has adopted a new economic model focused on science, technology, digital transformation, and green transition, alongside revitalizing traditional growth drivers. GDP growth in the first nine months is estimated to have reached 12.54%.

Nguyen Trung Tien, Deputy Director of the Quang Ninh Department of Science and Technology, stated that priority has been given to investment resources for science, technology, and digital transformation, with a total budget of 1,089.1 billion VND. The city has completed 97.2% of the tasks outlined in the Politburo's relevant resolution. In the first nine months, total electricity generation exceeded 28.5 billion kWh, an increase of 9.58% compared to the same period last year. In the tourism sector, it attracted 18.8 million visitors, including 4.21 million international visitors, generating 56,400 billion VND in revenue.
