Restoration of Kızılhan in Beçin Castle Continues
Restoration works continue at Kızılhan, located in Beçin Castle in Milas, Muğla; the structure is planned to host cultural events upon completion.
Restoration of Kızılhan continues in Beçin Castle and Medieval City, located in the Milas district of Muğla, which has been on the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List since 2012.
Within the scope of the works carried out with the support of the Muğla Governorate Investment Monitoring and Coordination Department, the repair of the city walls belonging to the Menteše Beylik period, as well as the tomb and its graveyard, was completed and placed under protection. Wall, arch, and vault restoration continues at Kızılhan, one of the unique examples of Anatolian Turkish architecture.
Following the completion of the works, Kızılhan is aimed to be transformed into an active venue for culture and science by hosting conferences, symposiums, and summer schools.
