Rise of a Generation Exhibition Opens at İş Sanat Kibele Art Gallery

The exhibition "Rise of a Generation: The Early Republican Overseas Education Mobilization," which portrays the stories of the first generations sent abroad under the educational vision of the Republic through documents and photographs preserved by their families, has opened to visitors at İş Sanat Kibele Art Gallery.

The exhibition, opened at Kibele Art Gallery, addresses the Republic's determination to allocate its limited resources to the education of youth and the educational mobilization carried out by ministers of education such as Mustafa Necati and Hasan Âli Yücel. Designed by Burçak Madran, the exhibition reflects the struggles and determination to return to the country of young people selected from Anatolia through exams and sent abroad with state scholarships, using memoirs, letters, and documents preserved by their families. The memories of the heroes of this process, which became systematic with Law No. 1416 dated 1929, are brought together with the audience.
