ROKETSAN's ALKA laser system showcased its capabilities at an international competition

Developed by ROKETSAN, the ALKA laser weapon system demonstrated high performance during field demonstrations at the International Best Military Drone Team Competition, which was attended by military teams from over 30 countries. Combining electromagnetic jamming and laser technologies, the system offers a low-cost and sustainable defense solution against unmanned aerial vehicle threats in the modern battlefield.

Within the scope of the field demonstration, ALKA successfully destroyed both fixed and rotary-wing drones using laser technology. The system also proved its versatile operational capacity by neutralizing improvised explosive devices designated as ground targets. Providing the advantages of low firing cost and unlimited ammunition, ALKA is actively used in the protection of military units and critical facilities.

ROKETSAN continues to improve the power level and intervention capabilities of the system in light of data received from the field. The company is continuing its efforts for ALKA to serve as a laser weapon within the scope of the STEEL DOME project, which is a multi-layered air defense architecture. Standing out with its export potential, the system is evaluated as a technological solution targeting modern defense needs.
