Samsun Book Fair Opened Its Doors to Visitors

The Samsun Book Fair has opened its doors to bring important figures of the literary and intellectual world together with book lovers. At the fair, which can be visited until November 1st, 150 publishing houses and over 300 authors will meet with readers with approximately 500 thousand books.

Samsun Governor Orhan Tavlı, Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Halit Doğan, members of parliament, protocol members, and numerous citizens attended the opening ceremony of the organization held at the Samsun Fair and Congress Center. Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, protocol speeches were delivered. Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Halit Doğan stated that the fair would contribute to the city's cultural, artistic, and scientific life, expressing their goal to raise youth equipped with an upbringing that develops with technology and enriches with books.

Book signings, interviews, and various culture and art events will be organized within the scope of the fair, which will host well-known figures such as Ahmet Ümit, Şermin Yaşar, Kemal Sayar, Sinan Akyüz, Mert Arık, Dilek Cesur, Saliha Erdim, Tufan Gündüz, Oytun Erbaş, and İhsan Süreyya Sırma. The event can be visited every day between 09:30 and 20:00 until November 1st.
