Samsung W27 Luxury Foldable Phone Being Unveiled

Samsung is preparing to unveil the Samsung W27, a luxury foldable smartphone developed specifically for the Chinese market, at a launch event on October 29. The device is based on the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra architecture and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.

The Samsung W27 inherits almost all of its internal hardware components from the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra model available in the global market. The device is powered by Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. While it features an 8-inch foldable main screen on the inside and a 6.5-inch cover screen on the outside, both panels support a 120Hz refresh rate. On the back, a triple camera setup led by a 200MP main camera is featured, and the device is powered by a 5,000 mAh capacity battery. The W27 model is expected to come with a 16GB RAM standard and storage options up to 1TB.

Samsung's W series, maintained in partnership with China Telecom, differentiates itself from traditional Galaxy Z Fold models through visual details and box contents. The dark blue finish is accompanied by gold-colored touches on the chassis frame, camera island, and the W logo details on the back cover. Targeting the prestige-oriented user base in the Chinese market, the phone is supported by features such as a special box design, gold-themed user interface designs, and Tiantong satellite communication support.
