At a time when manufacturers are diversifying their supply chains, Indian startup Scimplify has raised $25 million in an equity-based strategic investment led by Hitachi Ventures to expand its operations in critical materials and specialty chemicals.

Details of the Investment Round

Customers Henkel and Teknor Apex participated as new investors in the all-equity strategic funding round led by Hitachi Ventures.

Existing backers Accel India, Bertelsmann India Investments, Omnivore, and 3one4 Capital also took part in this funding round.

Company Valuation and Funding

Following this investment round, the Bengaluru-based startup reached a market value of $250 million.

The valuation, which stood at $150 million following its $40 million Series B round in March 2025, increased with the latest investment, bringing its total equity financing to $80 million.

AI-Powered Manufacturing Process

Founded in 2023, Scimplify uses its proprietary AI platform called Scinode to coordinate chemical manufacturing processes and track regulatory requirements.

The startup transfers processes developed at its research facilities in Bengaluru and Hyderabad to contract manufacturing partners, and currently performs about 90 percent of its production in India.

Global Expansion Plans

The company aims to expand its manufacturing network to include the U.S. and Japanese markets within the coming year.

Approximately $7.5 million of the new funding is planned to be allocated to growth activities in the U.S., while $2.0 million will go toward developing the Scinode platform.

Financial Performance and Revenue

Reaching an annualized run-rate revenue of approximately $200 million, the startup has maintained EBITDA-positive performance for the past two months.

Strategic sectors such as semiconductors, defense, and energy serve as key growth markets for the company.
