According to a statement from the U.S. Federal Bureau of Prisons, Sean 'Diddy' Combs, who was being held at a prison in New Jersey, has been transferred to a facility in Pennsylvania for security and safety reasons.

Prison Change and Transfer Process

Rap mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs was transferred on Friday to the FCI Allenwood Low low-security prison in the state of Pennsylvania. Officials did not share details regarding the reason for the transfer, citing privacy, safety, and security reasons.

Combs' spokesperson stated that the transition was made from one low-security facility to another, noting that this move aligns with a decision made out of concern for security and safety.

Disciplinary Issues and Allegations

This transfer decision comes about two weeks after NBC News reports that the artist had access to cell phones, alcohol, and other contraband at Fort Dix. The report also included allegations that Combs had other inmates cook meals and do cleaning for him.

Jose Rojas, secretary of the local federal prison employees' union, stated that the underlying reason for the transfer decision was disruptive behavior, noting that the artist was causing too many problems there.

Criminal Status and Release Date

As a result of the disciplinary incidents, Combs lost his 41-day good-time credit reduction right. This situation postponed his previously known release date of January 2028 to March 2, 2028.

The 56-year-old Combs, who is requesting the overturning of his convictions on two prostitution-related charges and his release, has filed an appeal with an appeals court.
