Search for a New Model in the TRNC Economy: Emphasis on Production and Added Value

It is stated that a value-added initiative should be undertaken in the agriculture, technology, and tourism sectors for the future of the TRNC economy, and that public resources should be directed in a way to increase permanent income and production capacity.

It is stated that a radical change model is needed to increase the TRNC's own production power in order to reduce the economy's dependence on foreign resources and certain sectors. Instead of day-to-day policies, the goal is to support producers, encourage private sector investments, and focus public resources on sustainable development.

In the field of agriculture, efficient use of water resources and modern irrigation systems, as well as the processing of raw materials into branded products, are of great importance. Technology branches such as software, artificial intelligence, and cyber security, along with gastronomy and nature-focused tourism diversity, are among the main areas that will support the island's opening to international markets and the spread of economic returns to broader segments. It is also foreseen that financial cooperation resources carried out with Turkey will be brought together with these production-oriented projects.
