Dr. Kaan Taşer, Co-President of the Health and Social Service Laborers' Union (SES) Antalya Branch, has passed away. Taşer, who took the front lines in the struggle for health workers' rights, was sent off to his hometown Ürgüp after a funeral prayer performed at Antalya's Uncalı Cemetery.
The passing of SES Antalya Branch Co-President Dr. Kaan Taşer, who fought for many years in the search for rights of health workers, caused great sadness in the health community and the city. In a condolence statement made by the union management, it was emphasized that Taşer played an active role in public health advocacy, tax justice actions, and the resistance carried out against regulations that health workers reacted to.
The funeral prayer for Dr. Kaan Taşer was performed following the noon prayer on Monday, October 19, at Antalya Uncalı Cemetery. Following the ceremony, Taşer's body was sent to his hometown Ürgüp.
