Sinopale Meets Art Lovers in Sinop in its 20th Year with its 10th Edition
The international contemporary art biennale Sinopale is welcoming visitors in Sinop until November 15 with its 10th edition in its 20th year.
Founded in Sinop in 2005 and establishing relationships focused on local participation between art, the city, and society, the international contemporary art biennale Sinopale continues to meet art lovers until November 15 with its 10th edition in its 20th year.
The 10th edition of the biennale is curated by four co-curators: Deniz Kırkalı, Mariam Natroshvili, Marina Fokidis, and the founder of Sinopale, Melih Görgün. With this biennale, art in Sinop is not only exhibited but co-produced with the city itself.
Within the scope of the event, which started in 2006, artists are brought together in the same production space with Sinop's artisans, fishermen, volunteers, and city residents.
Held under the title "Reason Prevails on Land, Intuition at Sea", the biennale treats remaining outside of central institutions not as a disadvantage, but as an opportunity to create its own vocabulary and center.
