In the statement made by the Presidency's Directorate of Communications, details of the Sixth Fund Board Meeting, held with the participation of relevant institutions and organizations of the Ministries of Justice and Treasury and Finance, were shared. It was stated that the Bill, which will ensure that the process for certain investment funds whose liquidation was decided by the Capital Markets Board upon previous Fund Coordination Board decisions is carried out fairly, transparently, and effectively, and that payments are legally secured, was adopted by the TBMM Plan and Budget Committee on October 14, 2026. It was expressed that the bill is anticipated to be discussed in the General Assembly next week.

It was conveyed that, in addition to the bill adopted in the Plan and Budget Committee, initial evaluations regarding a new draft regulation envisaging permanent and comprehensive changes in the Capital Market Law to eliminate structural problems in capital markets, strengthen regulatory and supervisory mechanisms, and increase the deterrent effect of sanctions and penalties were also brought to the agenda by the Fund Coordination Board.

It was announced that in-kind and cash liquidation transactions totaling approximately 40.8 billion TL for over 45,000 individuals in 66 separate investment funds managed by A1 Portföy Yönetim Şirketi A.Ş., Bulls Portföy Yönetim Şirketi A.Ş., and Pardus Portföy Yönetim Şirketi A.Ş. were completed by Ziraat Bank. With these developments, the number of funds in the liquidation process dropped from 131 to 65. Furthermore, it was noted that in line with the Capital Markets Board's decision dated October 15, 2026, liquidation transactions regarding funds founded by Hedef Portföy Yönetim Şirketi A.Ş. were decided to be subject to the principles determined for the funds founded by these three companies, and it is planned to make payments to the maximum number of individuals, primarily those in money market funds, next week.
