Smuggling Operation in Ankara: Proceedings Against 11 Suspects
In smuggling operations carried out by gendarmerie teams in Ankara and its districts, legal proceedings were initiated against 11 people and various materials were seized.
In operations coordinated by the Ankara Provincial Gendarmerie Command Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch Directorate, legal proceedings were initiated against 11 individuals determined to be engaged in the trade and transport of smuggled goods.
Operations were carried out within the gendarmerie's area of responsibility targeting individuals who trade and transport goods illegally smuggled into Turkey in Ankara and its districts. As a result of the efforts coordinated by the Ankara Provincial Gendarmerie Command Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch Directorate, it was learned that legal proceedings were initiated against 11 people.
During the operations, 1 pistol, 1 pistol magazine, 9 pieces of 9 mm caliber pistol ammunition, 2 detectors, and 29 various excavation materials were seized. All materials seized by the teams were confiscated.
