Social Media Dispute Turns into Armed Attack in Malatya: 2 Injured

Following a dispute that started on social media in Malatya's Battalgazi district, 18-year-old Z.Y. shot and injured two women she met in different neighborhoods. Detained after the incident, the suspect was arrested by the court.
In the incident that occurred on the night of October 8 in Malatya's Battalgazi district, a dispute reportedly originating on social media resulted in an armed attack. 18-year-old Z.Y. shot and injured Ç.K. with a handgun in Zafer Neighborhood, whom she had met to talk.
The suspect then shot G.T. with a handgun whom she encountered in Orduzu Neighborhood. Injured in the attacks carried out at different addresses, Ç.K. and G.T. were taken to the hospital and treated.
As a result of the police teams' efforts, the fleeing suspect Z.Y. was caught. After the completion of procedures at the police station, the suspect was referred to the courthouse and was arrested and sent to prison by the duty criminal judgeship. It was reported that the investigation regarding the incident is ongoing.
