Ahead of the provincial chairmanship primary to be held in Trabzon Yeni Parti, the race between candidates Mustafa Bak and Güzide Önsel Uzun has moved to social media platforms. The public support given to Mustafa Bak by Beşikdüzü Mayor Cahit Erdem and Ortahisar politician Mustafa Erdi Çakır has made the balances and competition within the party visible.

Beşikdüzü Mayor Cahit Erdem announced in a statement on his social media account that he would cast his vote for Bak, emphasizing his long-standing partnership with Mustafa Bak. In his post, Erdem also touched upon certain events he stated had occurred in the Beşikdüzü organization in the past.

Mustafa Erdi Çakır, a candidate for the previous term's Ortahisar district chairmanship, similarly announced that he supports Mustafa Bak. Stating that he has no personal animosity toward the other candidate, Güzide Önsel Uzun, Çakır used the expression, "I would give my life for our other candidate Güzide Önsel Uzun, but I will not vote for her."

Turgay Şahin, on the other hand, described these posts as "social media wars." Expressing his concerns about how this situation within the party might reflect on the election process, Şahin commented, "I hope it doesn't end up like the CHP in YENI PARTI, otherwise it would be a pity for the voters."
