SpaceX plans to scale its AI data center capacity from 1.4 gigawatts in mid-2026 to 10 gigawatts by the end of 2027.

SpaceX's rapidly expanding AI data center capacity will take center stage during its earnings call with Wall Street analysts after the market closes on Tuesday. The company's AI revenue is projected to reach $3.78 billion in the third quarter, marking a 230% increase. The majority of this revenue stems from leasing wholesale data center compute capacity rather than model licensing.

Elon Musk stated in a social media post that the targeted 10-gigawatt capacity could potentially be exceeded. It is reported that the company is seeking a $40 billion financing package led by Apollo to fund these massive data center investments. Anthropic remains SpaceX's largest data center customer with agreements totaling up to $84.5 billion through 2029, while Alphabet has emerged as a new customer set to pay $920 million monthly for compute capacity between October 2026 and June 2029.
