Jose Manuel Rodriguez Uribes, President of Spain's Higher Sports Council, criticized LaLiga President Javier Tebas for comparing Real Madrid TV to Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels and demanded an apology.
Jose Manuel Rodriguez Uribes, President of Spain's Higher Sports Council, found the statements by LaLiga President Javier Tebas comparing Real Madrid TV's methods to those of Nazi Germany's Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels to be unacceptable.
Speaking at an event in Manises, Valencia, Higher Sports Council President Jose Manuel Rodriguez Uribes stated that the remarks by LaLiga President Javier Tebas comparing the media methods of Real Madrid's television channel to Nazi Germany's Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels exceeded the limits of legitimate criticism. Uribes demanded that Tebas retract his words and apologize to the Real Madrid club.
Uribes confirmed that the matter is also being reviewed by the Higher Sports Council's legal department and that authorized units have been tasked with investigating whether it warrants disciplinary action. Meanwhile, LaLiga President Javier Tebas defended his comparison, accusing Real Madrid's television channel of creating a perception of victimhood.
