The Presidency's Directorate of Communications Center for Combating Disinformation (CCMM) announced that claims suggesting the Maritime Jurisdiction Areas Agreement between Turkey and Libya destabilizes the Eastern Mediterranean contain disinformation and that the agreement complies with international law.

The Presidency's Directorate of Communications Center for Combating Disinformation (CCMM) reported that posts on certain social media accounts targeting the Turkey-Libya Maritime Jurisdiction Areas Agreement are aimed at manipulating the public. The statement indicated that the agreement in question was signed to protect the legitimate rights of two sovereign states, went into effect after passing through the approval processes of the participating countries, and complies with international law and the principles of equity.

In the CCMM statement, it was argued that the targeting of Turkey by circles attempting to turn the Eastern Mediterranean into a conflict zone is an effort to cover up their own violations. Emphasizing that Turkey continues to stand in favor of peace, stability, and equity at all times, it was noted that credence should not be given to the unfounded claims of those engaged in unlawful actions in the region.
