Statement on Arda Güler from Arda Turan: I Will Support Barcelona

Shakhtar Donetsk Head Coach Arda Turan made evaluations ahead of the El Clasico match between Real Madrid and Barcelona, stating that although he loves national football player Arda Güler very much, he will support Barcelona.

Shakhtar Donetsk Head Coach Arda Turan was a guest on TNT Sports following their 1-0 defeat to Inter in the 3rd matchday of the Champions League. Touching upon the El Clasico match during the program, Turan stated that he loves national star Arda Güler, who plays for Real Madrid, very much, but his preference will be for Barcelona.

Relating the situation between the two to their club pasts in Turkey, Turan remarked, "Arda Güler is my brother, but I am on Barcelona's side. It's the same situation; he played for Fenerbahçe, I played for Galatasaray. Off the pitch he is my brother, but on the pitch I am against him." Barcelona and Real Madrid will face each other on Sunday, October 25 at 23:00.
