Statement on Problematic Funds Following Economic Coordination Board Meeting
Following the eighth meeting of the ECE, it was announced in a statement that interim payments will be initiated immediately after the bill regarding the liquidation process of problematic funds is enacted in the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (GNAT).
The Economic Coordination Board (ECB), at its eighth meeting in 2026, discussed the general outlook of the Turkish economy, the education-employment relationship, and regulations regarding problematic funds. Following the meeting, it was announced that interim payments are projected to be initiated as soon as possible after the legislative proposal regulating the liquidation processes of problematic funds is enacted in the GNAT General Assembly.
At the eighth meeting of the Economic Coordination Board in 2026, the outlook of the Turkish economy, the needs of the labor market, and regulations concerning problematic funds were discussed. In the statement issued after the meeting, the goals of protecting economic gains and increasing production capacity and competitiveness were emphasized. It was reported that the legislative proposal regulating the liquidation processes of problematic funds was adopted in the GNAT Plan and Budget Committee, and that interim payments are projected to begin as soon as possible after its enactment in the GNAT General Assembly.
